Rolats ships cars, vans and SUVs from the UK to Zimbabwe (UK→Zimbabwe only) by RoRo or container, routed via Durban (South Africa) or Beira (Mozambique) then overland to Harare and Bulawayo. Zimbabwe is a right-hand-drive market, so UK vehicles suit it well. Car shipping is quote-only — send the make, model and year for a price.
How car shipping to Zimbabwe works
Zimbabwe is landlocked, so vehicles ship to a regional port and travel overland to you.
- RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) — drive-on, drive-off; the economical option for a single running vehicle
- Container — your car sealed in a 20ft/40ft, optionally with personal effects packed around it
We route via Durban or Beira and arrange the road leg to Harare, Bulawayo, Mutare and beyond.
Zimbabwe vehicle import rules
Zimbabwe drives on the left, so right-hand-drive UK vehicles are ideal and widely imported. Import duty and a surtax apply on arrival, assessed by ZIMRA on the vehicle's value, engine size and age. We guide you on the documents ZIMRA will ask for and indicate the likely duty before you ship.
What it costs
Car shipping is quote-only (POA) — the price depends on the vehicle size, the method (RoRo vs container) and the route. Send us the make, model, year and your destination town and we'll confirm the cost in GBP. Government import duty is separate and paid to ZIMRA on arrival.
Documents you'll need
Typically the V5C logbook, your ID, and a bill of sale or proof of ownership. We prepare the UK export documentation and the Zimbabwe import paperwork so the vehicle clears without unnecessary delay.
