Rolats sends parcels and small boxes to Nigeria from the UK by air at £5.90/kg plus a £20 handling fee for speed, or by consolidated sea freight for non-urgent, bulkier loads. We ship door-to-door from our Dagenham depot to Lagos, Abuja and all 36 states, with air arriving in days and sea in a few weeks. Tell us the weight and destination for an exact GBP quote.

How to send parcel to Nigeria air or sea?

Air freight is the fast choice: your parcel flies to Lagos or Abuja and reaches the recipient in days. Rolats prices air at £5.90 per kg plus a one-off £20 handling fee - simple, all-in GBP, no charges sprung on your family at the Nigerian end. Consolidated sea freight groups your parcel with other cargo in a shared container; it's slower (a few weeks) but the better value for heavier or non-urgent boxes. As a rule of thumb: light and urgent goes by air; heavy and patient goes by sea.

Parcel vs express courier which is cheaper?

For a small, genuinely urgent document or item, a global express courier can be quick. But for the boxes and care parcels the diaspora actually sends - clothing, foodstuffs, gifts, household bits - Rolats is usually cheaper for non-urgent shipments, because we consolidate and price by weight without premium courier surcharges. You also get a real person in Dagenham handling clearance, not a call centre. If you're sending more than a few kilos and don't need it tomorrow, we'll almost always beat the express price.

What you can and can't send

You can send clothing, non-perishable foods, toiletries, gifts, electronics and documents. Restricted and prohibited items - including certain foodstuffs, liquids, batteries and high-value goods - are subject to Nigeria Customs rules and airline regulations. Nigeria charges duty on some imports at clearance. We check your contents before shipping and prepare the paperwork so nothing is held.

Door-to-door to Lagos, Abuja and beyond

We collect from any UK address (or accept drop-offs at our Dagenham depot, 494 Gale Street, RM9 4NU), ship by air or consolidated sea, clear customs, and deliver to the door in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano and across all 36 states. Air is £5.90/kg + £20 handling; sea from £70 per bag. Send the weight and destination town to +44 7735 369702 or info@rolatsservicesdagenham.co.uk for an exact quote.
